Purpose of the position

Reporting to the Director of Bids and Industrial and Mining Projects, the Project Manager oversees and coordinates the various tasks involved in project execution (engineering, manufacturing, quality, subcontractors) to ensure that the company adequately meets the needs of clients (and consultants) while adhering to commercial agreements and project budgets.

What awaits you

  • Analyze the scope of projects and establish a project plan to ensure project success;
  • Define project deliverables and objectives at the beginning of the project and evaluate them at the end of the project;
  • Coordinate and monitor all activities (design, manufacturing, installation) to deliver the project according to client requirements, while adhering to schedules, budget, and performance targets;
  • Assume decision-making responsibility associated with overseeing the project and realigning it in the event of any unforeseen circumstances;
  • Keep project schedules up to date by communicating with planners to ensure project synchronization with overall departmental planning;
  • Monitor costs, analyze variances, produce administrative reports, and take necessary measures to avoid or mitigate cost overruns;
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements, process various extra declarations, and ensure billing according to established payment terms;
  • Maintain relationships and communicate effectively and regularly with stakeholders involved in the project to ensure ongoing follow-up;
  • Plan and lead progress review meetings, design meetings, project coordination meetings, and post-mortems;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned within the project management team.

You possess

  • DEC or BAC in mechanical engineering or any other relevant field;
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects;
  • Excellent mastery of reading plans and understanding specifications;
  • Proficiency in standard computer tools and Microsoft Office;
  • Autonomous, rigorous, and meticulous;
  • Motivated, good team spirit, and results-oriented;
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to manage priorities, and organizational skills;
  • Bilingual, to be able to communicate easily with our English-speaking clients.
