Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will act as a technician for the testing, start-up and maintenance of the rotary press. As an employee on the road, you will be required to travel primarily within the United States and Canada, and occasionally internationally.
What to expect
- Conduct pilot tests with our mobile units at municipal and industrial customers’ sites to test dewatering equipment: make connections, conduct demonstrations and take samples.
- The pilot tests will include the installation, operation and dismantling of Fournier’s equipment.
- Perform laboratory analyses of collected samples to qualify biosolids for dehydration.
- Conduct technical presentations and provide technical information to plant personnel and engineers.
- Carry out the start-up of the equipment, while training and answering the customer’s questions.
- Perform equipment maintenance and mechanical supervision.
- Propose and participate in the implementation of solutions to optimize the performance of systems.
- Collaborate in testing and product development and improvement projects.
- Write detailed reports and reports.
- Provide technical assistance.
You possess
- Availability and desire to travel through the territories covered. Travel will represent between 50 and 75% of the time.
- DEP in electromechanics, industrial mechanics or any other relevant training.
- Knowledge and experience in water and wastewater treatment is an asset.
- Strong manual and mechanical aptitude with good troubleshooting skills.
- Strong sales and customer skills.
- Good knowledge of the Windows operating system.
- Dynamic with good communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent priority management, ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Be proactive and customer service and satisfaction oriented:
- Functional English, to be able to communicate with English-speaking clients.
